Usually it wouldn't be so difficult for Echo, but recently her older sister Zoë was murdered. Now Echo has to face the stares of random strangers she doesn't know, deal with her friends, and her sister's ex-boyfriend. When Marc, Zoë's ex-boyfriend shows up to Echo with Zoë's diary, she is indulged to read it. But while reading her sister's diary, she learns about her sister's struggle and about herself. This book I found hard to get into, because it was really slow and nothing really happened. But as I got further along in the book, I found myself more interested and I wanted to read more. I really wanted to know what had happened to Zoë, and so when I got to the part when Echo read her diary, it got really interesting.

Wow! that must be hard for Echo, I could never imagine losing any of my sisters because we are so close and I would be devastated. This book seems very relate-able. Do you know why the title is "Saving Zoe"? How could Echo possible save her sister is she is already dead? And, what age group do you recommend this book for?
ReplyDeleteYou really got me into this book just from the summary! It was really well done. Does it ever say how Zoe died? Or maybe Echo finds out while reading the diary? I think this book would be pretty relate-able too because Echo is learning how to deal with high school just like we are! However, I don't know if your citation is quite right so you might want to check that out.
ReplyDeleteFrom what you've written, I predict there was a huge plot twist! CrissCross! It's an interesting concept for a novel, but I can see it could get slow at times, which was proven by you. What does Echo plan to do about her sisters death and killer after she reads Zoe's diary?
